where SLOW is the value of the SLOW bit (CONTROL[2] –
register), which is 1 or 0. N_ON and N_OFF values are
PULSE1 and PULSE2 register values (Table 9).

If t ON is 0, the LED current ramps down immediately after
attaining its FINAL value. The minimum t ON and t OFF for
PULSE1 is 6.7 ms, while PULSE2 is disabled when either t ON
or t OFF is 0.
If N_ON PULSE2 and N_OFF PULSE2 are both 0, only the t ON_PULSE1
and t OFF_PULSE1 are considered.
